Tiryaki Agro and Savola Group Form a Strategic Partnership

Tiryaki Agro and Savola Group, two major players in the global food supply chain, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at creating a more resilient, competitive, and consumer-focused structure in Türkiye and the region.

As part of the agreement, Tiryaki Anadolu, a subsidiary of Tiryaki Agro, acquired 100% of Savola Foods Türkiye, which owns leading edible oil brands, primarily Yudum. As part of the transaction, Afia International Company, a subsidiary of Savola Group, acquired a 15% stake in Tiryaki Anadolu’s consolidated business structure.

This partnership represents an important step in the long-term strategies of both organizations:

For Tiryaki Agro, the partnership accelerates its transformation into a consumer-focused and diversified player that manages the value chain from seed to table and continues to strengthen its retail presence alongside its global supply chain leadership. The company will also continue to expand and strengthen its investments in Türkiye.

For Savola Group, the partnership reinforces its long-term commitment to Türkiye through a model that creates operational synergies and enables its strong brands to continue developing within an integrated structure.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Tiryaki Agro has taken a significant step in the retail edible oils sector with this transaction. In addition to Yudum-branded sunflower oils, Yudum Egemden olive oils, one of the leading brands in the olive oil segment, have been added to Tiryaki Anadolu’s product portfolio. The portfolio has been further expanded with Brillo and Cielo olive oil brands, which have strong positions in export markets, Sırma-branded corn and sunflower oils, and Sava and Vala-branded bakery and industrial oils.

Tiryaki Agro Strengthens Its Integrated Food Value Chain with Established Brands

Commenting on the agreement, Tiryaki Agro CEO Süleyman Tiryakioğlu said:

“As a global company born in Türkiye, we remain firmly committed to investing in our country in line with our goal of providing nutrition solutions around the world and building a food future in harmony with nature. As Tiryaki Agro, we have been growing across the agricultural and food value chain for 60 years, while making our strategic decisions with a long-term perspective. This strategic partnership is an important part of our sustainable growth vision.

“It is a particular source of happiness for us to bring Türkiye’s well-established and highly trusted brands, especially Yudum, together once again under the umbrella of a Türkiye-based group. At the same time, as with our other strong partnerships around the world, we anticipate that partnering with a strong group such as Savola will create new opportunities not only in Türkiye but also in regional markets.

“With this step, we aim both to strengthen our presence in Türkiye and to contribute to our country’s global competitiveness. Our goal is to bring established brands together with our global experience and offer consumers a broader range of products.”

A Strategic Step Toward a Stronger and More Diversified Structure in Türkiye

Savola Group CEO Sameh Hassan said:

“This step brings together complementary strengths and strong partners around supply excellence, an integrated value chain, and some of Türkiye’s most iconic and trusted brands. Our brands, particularly Yudum, Egemden, and Sırma, have been part of Turkish households and close to consumers’ hearts for decades. Today, this heritage forms the foundation of a stronger, more resilient, and more competitive structure.

“This partnership with Tiryaki Agro is a clear demonstration of Savola Group’s commitment to Türkiye and the food industry. Türkiye’s dynamic domestic market, strong agricultural infrastructure, and export potential provide a highly attractive foundation for sustainable value creation. Through this integrated structure, extending from agricultural sourcing to branded finished products, significant opportunities will be created with a focus on enhancing global competitiveness, food security, and sustainability.”

The Combination of Two Strong Organizations Will Create New Opportunities

Tiryaki Anadolu CEO Tekin Mengüç emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, saying:

“As Tiryaki Anadolu, we have a steadily growing market share in the retail sector with our Hasata brand in the legumes and rice categories. We are now bringing together the retail strength of Türkiye’s beloved edible oil brands, particularly Yudum, with Tiryaki Anadolu’s strong supply chain infrastructure and production expertise.

“This collaboration will enable us to increase production efficiency while offering consumers a broader and higher-quality product portfolio. By supporting local production, we aim to create a more competitive structure both in the domestic market and internationally.”
