Tiryaki Tarım
For thousands of years, agriculture has been at the heart of life on Türkiye’s fertile lands. Today, it faces a new challenge under the pressure of climate change and increasing demand for food. In this challenging landscape, Tiryaki Tarım stands out as the country’s largest private-sector farmer and operates as the specialized agricultural company of Tiryaki Anadolu.
Tiryaki Tarım carries out a wide range of innovative projects, from agricultural production activities on the Muş Plain to regenerative farming practices, smart irrigation, and digital farming solutions. Its goal is not only to grow crops but also to protect the fertility of the soil and secure the future of agriculture through sustainable methods.
The Muş Alparslan Agricultural Enterprise is home to one of the largest and most modern smart irrigation systems ever established by the private sector in Türkiye. Water taken from the Murat River is delivered to a 76.5-kilometer underground network through five giant pumps. Thanks to an automation infrastructure that can even be controlled via mobile phone, the system allows both drip and sprinkler irrigation. Supported by satellite imagery and sensors, the water management system ensures that crops receive exactly the amount of water they need. As a result, up to 30% water savings and up to 70% yield increase are achieved. This innovative approach is planned to be expanded to cover all arable land of the enterprise by 2035.
Tiryaki Tarım is also one of Türkiye’s leading centers for regenerative agriculture practices. Starting with a 1,000-decare pilot area, the project aims to expand to 60,000 decares over time.
